James M. Zachocki, 73, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2022, with his loving family by his side. He was born on November 3, 1948, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph and Betty (Enz) Zachocki. He was a 1966 graduate of West Deer High School in Gibsonia, PA. Shortly after graduation, Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army for 4 years. He also married the love of his life, Linda (Kirin) Zachocki, on May 24, 1969. Jim worked in shipping at Frito-Lay and retired from there after 25 years of service. Aside from working, Jim loved the simple things in life such as cutting his grass, watching the game show network or just being at home with his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Linda Zachocki; sons Jim (Lisa) and Dan (Kelly) Zachocki and daughter Kelly (Todd) Moore; sister Betty Jo (Walt) Willkomm and brother Randy (Mary Beth) Zachocki; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 4th from 10 a.m. to noon at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will follow at 12 p.m. and burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery where military rites will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to C.A.S.T. (Cancer Assistance Support Team), 1333 Burd NE, Massillon, OH 44646.
