James M. Nussbaumer, age 82; of Massillon, passed away peacefully in a circle of love surrounded by his family on May 14, 2017. He was born on June 25, 1934 in Buffalo, New York to the late Frank and Lena Nussbamer. James was a 1953 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He married Jean M. Huber on November 10, 1956 and they shared 60 years together. Jim served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked with Nussbaumer Heating with his father and later worked for the Timken Company for 32 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church and was 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. In addition to his wife, Jean, he is survived by his children James Nussbaumer, Joan Valentine, Jan (Philip) Oprean, John (Theresa) Nussbaumer, Jolyn Warth and Jeanna (Chris) Costanzo; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his brother Frank Nussbaumer; his sisters Frances Schneider and Donna Barahona and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Norma Wyles and Lee Shanklin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10a.m. Fr. Brian Cline officiating. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 5-8p.m. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery.
