James L. Kirkbride, 77, of Perry Township, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022. Jim was born on July 6, 1944, in Cambridge, OH, the son of the late John and Sarah (Masters) Kirkbride. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Jim retired from Republic Steel after 35 years. Jim was a Marine Corps veteran and served our country during the Vietnam War. He was past president of the Richville Baseball Association. He was a skilled woodworker and loved camping at Springwood Campground. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post #221 and St. John Lutheran Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Kirkbride in 2015, daughter, Tina Kirkbride, brothers, Russell, Carl, and Jerry Kirkbride and Zala Masters, and his sister, Judy Goddard. He is survived by his children, J. Nick (Carrie) Kirkbride and Jessica (Vince) Logozzo; grandchildren, Rocco, Vaughn, and Luka; and his brother, Randall (Brenda) Kirkbride. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. before the service.
