James K. Barker, Jr.

James K. Barker, Jr., 51, of Jackson Twp., passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born on May 25, 1970, in Canton, the son of James K. Barker, Sr. and Nancy Meckley. James was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Jackson High School. He worked as a Certified Auto Mechanic for Waikem Honda for the last 23 years. James was a huge Houston Texans football fan. He was very passionate about stock car racing and drove stock cars at Canton Motor Speedway. James also liked to collect antiques, especially diecast cars. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Meckley; and grandparents, Vern & Elaine Schmucker, and Thomas & Mardell Barker. He is survived by his father and stepmother, James K. (Sharon) Barker, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Steve Barker, Amy Barker (Lawrence Bianchi), Stephanie (Chris Lowry) Barker, and TJ ( fiancée’ Keri Vizzo) Barker; nephew, Mike Shahan; niece, Shyann Shahan; and his furry companion, Zazz.
