"Together Again" James “Jim” L. Wolgamott, 82, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Jim was born on August 5, 1939, in Canton, the son of the late Chester Grant and Mary Jane (Moyer) Wolgamott. He was a 1957 graduate of Washington High. Following graduation, he joined the Air Force Reserves. Jim worked for the Timken Co. and retired after 36 years of service. During his post-retirement, he worked at the Stark County Board of Elections. Jim was very active in Freemasonry. He was a very active member of Clinton Lodge #47 F & AM, the York Rite, and the Valley of Canton Scottish Rite. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #221. He was proud of his years with the Boy Scouts where he was a Boy Scout Leader, Assistant Scoutmaster, then Scoutmaster, and finally a Unit Commissioner. Jim was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Massillon. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Wolgamott in 2007 and his sister, Nancy Rae Hamilton. He is survived by his children, Mike Wolgamott, Michelle Mayo, and Amy (Len) Badertscher; grandchildren, Chelcie (Sam) Crickenberger, Sydney, Brennen, Jaden, Myah, Liam, and Kaiden. A Celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11 a.m. Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m., and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. There will be a Masonic Service at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday before the calling hours.
