James D. (Jim) Fehlman, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Heritage Villas Senior Living Community in North Canton, Ohio. Jim was born January 20, 1933 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Jean and Carrie Fehlman. After graduation from Lincoln High School he briefly attended Kent State University. Jim was drafted and served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Upon returning from Germany he married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Clarke. They settled in Canton and started a family. Jim worked as a printer with Hawley Printing and MCA Sign Co. in Massillon. Jim and Nancy were happily married for 62 years until her death in 2015. He lovingly cared for her in her final years and has missed her deeply every day since. He also loved food, watching sports, and enjoyed chatting with family and his caregivers. Survivors include children, Donald (Shelli) Fehlman of Canton; Lori (Tom) Zembar of Potomac Falls, Virginia; David (Karen) Fehman of Jackson Township; grandchildren, who he loved dearly, Megan Fehlman, Andrew, Alison and Anna Zembar, Josh and Jared Fehlman. He was preceded in death by his daughter Linda Fehlman, his parents, and his siblings Robert, Richard, Joyce, Marie, and Lois. Per his wishes, he will be laid to rest next to his beloved Nancy and Linda during a private service at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
