James Edward Gessner

James E. "Jim" Gessner, 86, of Navarre, passed away on April 2, 2025. He was born in McKeesport, PA on May 18, 1938 to Francis and Bizz {Gibbons} Gessner.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph and Tom (Marlene) Gessner.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mary; sons Mike (Sheryl) Gessner and Matt (Sally) Gessner; daughter Kris (Steve) Mashek; grandchildren Matthew, Nathan and Megan Gessner, Emily and Roo Stewart; sister-in-law Eileen Gessner; several nieces and nephews.

Jim was a loving husband and very proud father and grandfather, as well as a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. During his retirement, Jim was very active in Habitat for Humanity, Domestic Violence Awareness, Phoenix Rising, Voyagers and Community Life Church.

Per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private celebration of his life will be held for his family.
