James F. Rossett

James F. Rossett, 86, of Massillon, passed away on June 10, 2024 at Altercare Country Lawn Nursing Home.

He was born on June 5, 1938 to the late Myron and Dorothy (Stevenson) Rossett in Massillon, OH.

He was a graduate of Washington High School. He was a veteran of The United States Army. Jim was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, the former Moose Lodge, Sons of Herman, and Marshallville American Legion. Jim loved to dance and spent many evenings with his wife on the dance floor. He enjoyed cribbage, euchre, chess, golf, crossword puzzles, pool and Massillon Tiger Football, holding reserved tickets on the 50 yard line for 40 years. He was dedicated to his family, especially playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

James is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Latham) Rossett; their children, Greg (Patty) Rossett and Brian (Amy) Rossett; sister, Diane Rossett; grandchildren, Max (Desire) Rossett, Melbourne (Kelly) Rossett, and Alec (Michelle) Rossett; eight great-grandchildren; and a niece, Meghan Ebert.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, at Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home, with Pastor Will Stuart officiating.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Massillon or the charity of the donor's choice.
