James Edward Rohr, 86, of Massillon, passed away on November 28, 2022, following an extended illness.
He was born on March 12, 1936 to the late James and Marguerite (Moll) Rohr at Canal Fulton.
James was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1954. He was a full time farmer and worked as a superintendent for ASC INDUSTRIES. James was also a veteran of The United States Army and served overseas as a medic.
He was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church and Men's Club, Farm Bureau Council of 30 years, Holy Name Society of Sts. Phillip and James, and a Stark County 4-H Advisor.
James is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ann M. (Seel) Rohr; their children, Phillip (Mary) Rohr, Marie (Ray) Kiplinger, Marcella (Robert) Archer, James F. Rohr and Marlene (Roger) Webb; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert Rohr, Dorothy Konen, and Sister Ruth Rohr, O.S.B..
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon Rohr and The Rev. Mr. Thomas Rohr; and sisters, Sister Marietta Rohr, O.S.C. and Sister Julia Rohr, O.S.B..
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022, 6:00 pm - 8:00pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 2, 2022, 10:30 am at St. Barbara's Catholic Church by The Rev. Canon Fr. Matthew Mankowski, officiating. Burial will follow in North Canton Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project and American Cancer Society.
