James D. Brown

James D. 'PeeWee' Brown, age 83, of Jackson Township, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Jim was born on October 14, 1930 in Bronx, NY the son of the late Carl & Gladys (Spade) Brown. Jim was a salesman his entire life and worked for Carter Lumber, Hammond Lumber, Winn's RV and retiring from Duncan's RV. He was a 3rd Degree Knight and perpetual member of The Knights of Columbus #554. Jim devoted his life to Catholicism and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He enjoyed playing the piano and organ, as well as swimming, attending antique car shows, tending to his flower gardens and his vegetable garden. He especially loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn A. Brown in 2011 and several other family members. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Joyce (Bob) Kassal, James C. (Debbie Evans) Brown, Marian (Richard) Kirkpatrick, Thomas Brown, Kathleen (Paul) Carey, Michael (Rosie) Brown, Barbara Dixon, Carl Brown, John (Michele) Brown, and David (Jennifer) Brown; over 28 grandchildren; over 30 great-grandchildren; and his great-uncle, Joe Brown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Fr. Don King will be Officiating. His final resting place will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home.
