James C. Lubert Sr., age 78, passed away on October 15, 2014. He was born on November 20, 1935 to the late John and Rose (Horvath) Lubert in Adena, Ohio. He was a graduate of Adena High School Class of 1953. He married Joan Lee Krier on April 07, 1956 and they spent 53 years together until her passing on November 10, 2009. Jim was a sergeant for the Massillon Police Department for 12 years until he started Massillon Detective Agency and MDA Alarm Systems. He started MDA Overhead Doors in 1976 and retired in 1998 . In retirement he enjoyed cooking and spending time in his vegetable garden with his beloved buddy Wellington. He is survived by his children James C. Lubert Jr., Lorie L. Hamrick, Susan L. Brannan; his grandchildren Breanne (Robert) Walter and Matthew Harper. In addition to his parents and wife Jim was preceded in death by his sister Lorraine Staley A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 4 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until the time of the service.
