James A. Ehrenberg, 92, of Jackson Twp., passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Legends Care Center in Massillon. Jimmy was born on July 19, 1921 in Canton the son of Edward and Fay Ehrenberg. He was a 1939 graduate of McKinley High School. Jimmy was a United States Army veteran and served our country during WWII. He worked for Republic Steel for 40 years and retired in 1984. Jimmy enjoyed square dancing with the Swing-A-Ling's. He loved gardening and watching his beloved Cleveland Indians. Jimmy was a member of First Church of the Resurrection in Canton. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Cernea) Ehrenberg in 1996. He is survived by his sister Wilma Montgomery; his brother-in-law John Cernea; his companion Ruth Geyer; and his long-time neighbor Sandra Warehime. A Celebration of Jimmy's life will be held on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Dr. Bruce Mont will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. before the service.
