Jacquie Crone

Jacquie Crone, age 75, of Beach City, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 surrounded by her family. Jacquie was born on April 17, 1939 in Massillon the daughter of John and Olive (Lockhart) Shanor. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1957 graduate of Washington High School. Jacquie worked at Central States Can and retired in 1970. She also worked as a reporter for the Independent covering the Beach City local news. Jacquie was an avid reader. She was very artistic, and enjoyed making ceramics, painting and scrapbooking. She loved spending time with her granddaughter Ava. Jacquie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill Crone whom she married on April 11, 1970; her daughter, Leisa (Doug) Oney; her granddaughter, Ava; her brothers and sister, Ronnie (Jane) Shanor, Jodie (Larry) Barron, and Paul (Linda) Shanor; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Jacquie's life will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Rev. Matt Coutcher will be officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
