Jacqueline Cowan

Jacqueline Cowan, 91, of Massillon, passed away on May 6, 2022, following an extended illness. She was born on June 11, 1930 to the late Clarence and Zell (Newell) Perkins in Nicut, WV. Jackie was a member of Massillon Baptist Temple, where she served faithfully in the nursery at church. She enjoyed selling Avon and cooking large meals for extended family. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, playing Dominos and spending time with all of her grandchildren. Jackie is survived by her children, Monoka (Rev. Ernie) Brown, Ed ( Carol) Cowan, Anita (Ray) Harple; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Julie Cowan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Emery Cowan; son, Dwaine Cowan, siblings, Clair Perkins, Maxine Perkins, Elinor Gilmore and Bernard Perkins; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, 6:00 pm-8:00pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, 10:30 am at the Paquelet & Arnold -Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with Pastor Cecil Thayer, officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. Memorials contributions are suggested to the Massillon Baptist Temple.
