Jacque E. Jones, 77, of Massillon, passed away Friday February 27, 2009 at Meadow Wind Health Care Center. He was born in Canton July 23, 1931 to the late William Harold and Josephine (Neiss) Jones. Jacque was owner/operator of Washington Products Inc. from 1972 to 1996. He was a veteran of the United States Army. On November 5, 1959 he married Shirley (Parker) and she survives along with children William E. Jones of Los Angeles, CA, and Jacquelyn S. Jones of Richmond, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard Jones. Jacque was very active in his community having served as past president and board member of Massillon Museum Inc., the Massillon Museum Foundation Inc. (Spring Hill Historic Home), the Massillon Development Foundation, and the Massillon Auto Club. He was a former board member of the United National Bank Advisory Board, Western Stark County Social Planning Council, Stark County Community Mental Health Board, and the Private Industry Council (J.T.P.A.). He was a former member of the Massillon Chamber of Commerce, the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the American Society of Tool Engineers, and the American Society of Manufacturing Engineers. He was a longtime member of the Massillon Rotary. He served as chairman of the Massillon Rotary Foundation and was most proud of the Chester & Florence Campbell Walking Path Project. Jacque enjoyed cars and car shows, motorcycles, movies, and reading. He was very proud of his family, his community service, and his business accomplishments. Jacque will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
