Jackie Dwayne Herring

Jackie Dwayne Herring, age62, of Louisville, KY went to join his Mom & Dad on a heavenly venture September 30, 2009 with his loving family at his bedside. Jackie was born September 22, 1947 in Massillon to the late Ernest & Addie Herring. He was a 1965 graduate of Washington High School. Jackie was employed with the Ford Motor Company and retired after 33 years of dedicated service. He has resided in Louisville, for the past 11 years. He is survived by his wife Robin (Bodiford) Herring after 11 wonderful years of marriage. Jackie has three sons: Juane (Daisha) Herring of Detroit, Darnell (Windy) Herring of Columbus, OH and Douglas Herring of Massillon; a daughter, Brianna Harkles of Canton; two step-sons, Jerred & Justin Cornwell of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, Christina Tyler of Tampa and Duane Leslie Herring Jr. of Detroit. He has a sister and six brothers: Rosetta Brewer of NY, James ‘Sonny’ (Teresa) Herring of Akron, Gerald ‘Jerry’ (Rochelle) Herring of Massillon, Robert ‘Bobby’ Herring of Newport News, VA, Edgar ‘Dickie’ (Yvonne) Herring of Massillon, Otis ‘Tommy’ (Jeanne) Herring of NYC, Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Herring of Massillon, his step-mother Lovie Herring, a nephew Darnell Streeter of Massillon and host of relatives, family and friends. A Memorial Service will be 2 PM Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may call from 1 PM until the service at the funeral home.
