Jack W. Mock, age 81 of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on March 5, 1928 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and was the son of the late Cletus and Minerva Mock. He was an area resident since 1966. Jack was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II. In 1967 he retired as a regional manager with Church Mutual Insurance Company. He was a member of Reedurban Presbyterian Church and was a former trustee and elder at the church and was a member of the Autumn Leaves Senior group. Jack enjoyed “summering” in Sunset Valley at Atwood Lake. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Mock, his daughter, Patricia Klingler, his stepfather, Casey Jones and his brother, Cletus Mock, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Darlene K. (Buck) Hines, his son, Howard A. (Deanna) Mock of Beloit, Ohio, his stepdaughters, Brenda (Brad) Craley and Michelle (Sam) Hardwick both of Columbus, Ohio, his grandsons, Kaleb Mock, Richie Klingler and Christopher Klingler, 2 step granddaughters, Valerie Benning and Trisha (Todd) Stuller, 5 step great grandchildren, 1 step great great granddaughter and his brother in law, Darrell Hines. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. A service to celebrate the life of Jack W. Mock will take place on Saturday at 12:30 P.M. at Reedurban Presbyterian Church (1145 Perry Drive NW, Canton, Ohio) with Rev. Darrell Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. -12:30 P.M.
