Jack L. King, Sr., 85 of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017. He was born on July 26, 1932 in Bakersville, Ohio to the late Roland and Esther (Mizer) King. They preceded him in death. Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Airborne Division where he was a paratrooper and was a boxer. He won many matches and boxed at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He retired from the Timken Company and went on to work at Fisher Foods where his engaging personality served him well. He was a member of the American Legion Post 221 and the FOE #190. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. (Mobley) King, his brother Max and his sister Sandra. He is survived by his children, Jack L (Kay) King, Jr., Diana (Dave) Miller and Michelle Brugh, grandchildren, Shannon, Melissa, Brodie, Brandon, Richard and Danielle, great grandchildren Brittany, Quade, Kelsey and Mally and his siblings, Gary, Jim, Larry, Roland and Bonnie. A service to celebrate his life will take place at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday at 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901or to the donor’s favorite charity.
