Jean Chantel Miller, 44 of Columbus, passed away Monday, march 30, 2015. Chantel was born in Massillon, the daughter of Wilma J. (Miller) Ali. She worked for the State of Ohio as a Correctional Officer and Recruiter. Chantel attended Academy of Court Reporting where she was one quarter away from completion of her Paralegal Degree. Upon completion of her paralegal degree she planned to attend nursing school fall quarter. She enjoyed travelling, shopping and cooking for her family and loved ones. Her dream was to open up her own restaurant. Chantel most enjoyed being a grandmother. She attended First Church of God. Along with her mother, she preceded in death by 'the love of her life', Craig E. Moreland in 2005, her Aunts, Wilda Jean Dorsey, Nora Ann Taylor, and Lois Marie Miller Rhea; her Uncles Willie B. Miller Jr. and James Russell Glover, her cousin Michael D. Rhea, and her grandparents Willie B. Miller Sr. and Virginia D. Miller. Survived by her children, De'Jean, Davion, and Dyani Moreland; her granddaughter Eliya Winkfield; and her brother Dominic Ali. Her uncle Vodrey Henry Miller. Her best friend/cousins William III, and Trudie Miller, and Latoya Dorsey. She also leaves many cousins, and loved ones behind. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 12 p.m. at Morning Star United Holy Church in Massillon. Elder Michael Clemmons will be officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11- 12 p.m. on Monday. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelt.com.
