Ivan D. (Van) Sturm, age 67 of Jackson Twp. passed away Thursday, July 14th at his home. Ivan was born June 8, 1949 in Massillon to the late Charles & Margaret (Ivan) Sturm. Ivan was a graduate of Fairless High School and the University of Akron. Ivan was employed for 24 year as a teacher at Timken Senior High and principal of the Adult Evening High School. Previously he was employed for 20 years at Superior Meats. He was a Boy Scout leader, coached soccer and baseball. His personal joy in life was spending time with his devoted wife, loving boys and his grandchildren who always looked for their "Papa." In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Charles Sturm III. He is survived by his loving wife Diana (Perretta) Sturm with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. They have two sons and daughters-in-law: Gregory & Holly Sturm and Ivan II & Debbie Sturm. He leaves a sister and a brother: Cynthia (Duane) Gribble and Mark (Susie) Sturm. There are seven wonderful grandchildren: Victoria, Sofia, Isabella, Zachary, Elizabeth, Aubrey and Dylan. Dear Uncle and friend` of many. Services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, July 20th at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rev. John Telloni will officiate. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home and from 10 AM until the service at the Church on Wednesday. His final resting place will be Calvary Cemetery.
