Irwin A. Lohr, age 81 of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at his residence. Andy was born on April 27, 1931 in Massillon the son of the late Sheldon and Mary (Hilliard) Lohr. He was a United States Marine veteran serving our country during the Korean War. He graduated from Washington High School in 1949. Andy retired from Echo Housewares in 1980 as a computer programmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Andy was active in little league baseball, F.W. Arnold. He enjoyed playing horse shoes and euchre. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helen Ann Lohr in 2001 and his brother Raymond Rush. He is survived by his children, Sheldon (Paula) Lohr, Michael (Lisa) Lohr, Stephanie Lohr, and Harvey Lohr; his grandchildren, Brittney (Joe) Morales, Brandon (Carol) Lohr, Andrea Lohr, Sarah (Jason) Van Horn, Zacharie Lohr, Joseph Lohr, and Danielle Lohr; 2 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Gerald Rush and Kenneth Snyder. A Celebration of Andy's Life will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home. Fr. Thomas Cebula will be Officiating. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-3 P.M. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Stark Co.
