Irene Klever, 95, of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. Irene was born on November 29, 1926 in Massillon, the daughter of John and Susan (Elavasky) Yatsko. She was a lifelong resident of Massillon and a 1944 graduate of Washington High School. She was a proofreader for the Massillon Independent. Irene also worked for Waikem Ford as a service manager, and also sold cars. She loved weaving rugs, crocheting, and baking cookies. Irene also loved going to garage sales. Most important to her were her grandchildren. Irene was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. Klever, Sr., son, Brad Klever, grandson, Jeffrey Michael Klever, brothers, Bill and Ed Yatsko, and sisters, Ila Pucky, Anna Yatsko, Dorothy Keller and Geraldine Brenner. She is survived by her sons, Donald Klever, Jr., and Jeffrey (Patty) Klever; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Rolands and Eleanor Blackman of Durham, NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Irene’s life will be held on Saturday, May 21st 2022 at Oak Knoll Park. There will be a service held at 12:00pm with a meal following until 3:00pm.
