Iona Genevieve Tisdale

Iona Genevieve Tisdale, age 77, of Massillon, OH passed away Friday, September 10, 2010 at Mercy Hospital. Genny was born December 22, 1932 in Seneca Lake, OH the daughter of the late Bill and Winifred “Sis” (Lashley) Rich. She retired from the Massillon City School System, and was an active member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. Genny enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending gospel concerts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Charles “Kenny” Tisdale and one brother Jerry Rich. Survivors include her five children Kenny Tisdale, Lise Ulrich, Joyce Rosenthal, Perry Tisdale, and Lori Tisdale; seven grandchildren David, Amy, Natalie, Jennifer, Hannah, Max, and Ben; six great-grandchildren; four sisters Bonnie Groves, Sandra Doudna, Darlene Kern, and Brenda Barnett; two brothers Bud Rich, and Billy Rich; and her cat “Sweetie”. Visitation will be 6 to 9 P.M. Tuesday, September 14th at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00 A.M. at the Massillon Baptist Temple with visitation there from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Pastor Cecil Thayer will officiate.
