Imari Chante Young

Imari Chante Young, 37, born on January 23, 1987 to Jackie Young transitioned and earned her Heavenly Wings on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

She was a 2005 graduate of Washington High School. Imari was a true fashionista of her time. On any given day you were going to catch her in the latest fashion with her hair fried, dyed, and laid to the side. She enjoyed spending time with her girls, Amya and Ariana who each not only made her extremely proud but also kept her on her toes. She also enjoyed watching movies with her sister LaToya, hanging with her brothers DeShawn and Ryan, long chats with her mother, and family cookouts, allowing her to see and spend time with all her family at once. She also dearly enjoyed quality time she'd spend with her Aunt Debra and Uncle "papa" Glenn.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Jackie M. Young; daughters, Amya and Ariana Young; brother, DeShawn (Sabrina) Young and Ryan (Jazmin) Young; sister, 'best friend' LaToya Young; sisters, Nichole Miller, and Cameron Hazzard; momo, Loett Young; aunt Demica (Marc) Armstead; special aunt Debra and special Uncle "papa" Glenn Clifford; special cousins, Rico Person, Tyrie Clifford; special sister/cousin, Elise Burrows; and host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 1 pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Friends may gather at the funeral home from  11:30 am - 1 pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
