Ima Jean Fritz

Ima Jean Fritz, 83, of Massillon, Ohio, passed away on January 20, 2018. She was born on July 17, 1934 in Hazard, KY to the late Sam and Nancy (Gayheart) Smith. She is survived by her husband, Arthur J. Fritz, Jr. whom she married on August 28, 1964. Also surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, A. John (Lori Boughman) Fritz III and sister-in-law Jean Ann Smith. In addition to her parents, Ima was preceded in death by her brothers Oval, Haven, Estill and Andy Smith. Ima enjoyed crocheting, making ceramics, knitting, gardening and being a housewife and mother. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services or calling hours and the burial of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. Special thanks to the staff of Affinity Hospital, the Cleveland Clinic, Meadow Wind Health Care Center, and Crossroad Hospice for the care given to her. The family would also like to thank Mary Conway, Darlene Byer and Sue Goss for all their help and support.
