Ida C. Ewing

Ida C. Ewing, age 85 of Massillon, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Amherst Meadows. She was born in Rhinebeck, NY on September 23, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Clarence R. and Gladys N. (Gehring) Ehrhart. Ida had previously worked at the former Massillon Psychiatric Center and Loblaw's. She had been a member of the Women of the Moose, The F.O.E. #190 Auxiliary, the Massillon Senior Citizen Center and AARP. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry D. Ewing, her brother Leland R. Ehrhart and her sister Irene Lindsey. She is survived by her sister, Helen Whitmeyer of Florida, her cousin Bonnie Hoover of Arizona and her special friends Connie and Pam Hampton. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday one hour before the service.
