Hollis Anderson Jr., age 75 went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2015. He was born in Prattsville, Alabama on December 17, 1939 to the late Rose and Hollis Anderson Sr. He married Deborah Rolland on June 19, 1982 and they shared 33 wonderful years together. Hollis briefly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked for Hercules/White Motors for 30 years until his retirement. Hollis loved cars, whether it was working on cars, building motors or racing them. He loved spending time with family and friends telling jokes and making people laugh. He was also spent a lot of time listening to music and dancing. He will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, brother and brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Deborah; a son Hollis Lee Anderson: his granddaughter Jeanette; his grandson Jordan Lee Anderson and Justin Lee Anderson; 2 great-grandchildren; His siblings Pastor Lee and Sharon Anderson, Charles Anderson, Herbert and Kathryn Anderson, Pastor Chad and Debbie Anderson, Minister Wayne Anderson and Shalonda Anderson, Robert and Camille Anderson, Michael and Kathy Anderson and Lamar Anderson (Washington). His sisters Pastor Mary Parker (Dayton, OH), Olivia Mosley (Dayton, OH) Pastor Rosa and Apostle Mark McCants (Cincinnati, OH) Doris and Perry McGlothan (Canton, OH) and Catherine Anderson (Canton, OH). Special Nephews Stephen Johnson and Quentin Card as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends and special friends Mr. and Mrs. Dickie and Gloria Dawson of Cypress, Texas, Joe and Kerri Miraglia, Mr. Charles Beverly and Mr. Roy Williams and last but not least Hollis "Dad" and Debbie's "Mom" adopted children. Hollis was preceded in death by his siblings Henry Anderson, Ruthalee Martin, Pearl Anderson (NJ) Roscoe Anderson (IN) and Fred Anderson (TX) A Homegoing Celebration will be held for Hollis on July 06, 2015 at Friendship Baptist Church at 12 noon. The Family will receive friends from 10am until the time of the service. Burial date and time will be announced at the service Paquelet Funeral Home & Crematory – 330-833-3222
