Henry M. Wellman, age 98 of Canton, died on Sunday, April 26, 2009 He was born on November 21, 1910 in Salem, Ohio and was the son of the late Michael and Amalia (Fabian) Wellman. In 1972 Henry retired from the Timken Company. He was a charter member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and sang in the choir. He was a man of many interests, including woodworking and wine making. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Barbara Wellman in 1997, his brother Julius Wellman and his sisters Hilda George and Pauline Hockley. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Barbara (Louis) Ferrero of Canton, Ted (Barbara) Wellman of Canton, Bill (Tessa) Wellman of Massillon Joan (Mark) Boron of Navarre, Elaine (Paul) Arnold of Canton, Margaret Kracker of Canton and Michael (Susan) Wellman of Canal Fulton. Also surviving are grandchildren, Barbara (Worley), James, Mike, Katherine Ferrero and Mary Dingler, Mary (Gabriel), Catherine, Theodore, Thomas, Joseph and John Wellman, Lisa (Pozderac), Wendy (Bobey) and Amanda Dale, Julie (Dean), John, Molly, Karen (Hite) and Diane (Ward), Tim, Jenny (Schaffter), Bill, Cindy (Espinoza), and Brian Arnold, Ken, Dan and Marty Kracker and Laura (Bowser), Anne (Gerwin) and David Wellman and 29 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. William Kraynack officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday (TONIGHT) from 6-9 P.M. and on Wednesday from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M.
