Henry J. Sandy

Henry J. Sandy "Uncle June", 86 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. He was born in Pigeon Run, Ohio on February 6, 1929 and was the son of the late Henry and Ruth (Williams) Sandy. Henry graduated from Washington High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from R.G. Drage Vocational School where he was the maintenance director. He was a member of the Lenape Trail Sportsman's Club and Stark County Gun Collector's. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Sandy, his brothers, Bill Sandy and Dale Sandy and his sister Evelyn Fetters. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Kathy Sandy, his grandson, Noah Sandy, his sister Edna (Don) Lieberman and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with a service to celebrate his life at 4:00 p.m. Military honors will follow the service.
