Helena Wade

Helena Wade, age 90, of Navarre, OH passed away Saturday, July 31,2010 at Altercare of Navarre. She was born April 26, 1920 in Belmont County, OH the daughter of the late Bert and Mary (Schuman) Jewell. Helena had been employed as a nurse's aide at the Massillon State Hospital. In younger years she enjoyed gardening, and was always a hard worker. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Helena is survived by her daughter, Helena I. (Harold) Johnson; step-children, Lyman Wade Jr., Paul Wade, Jerry Wade, Donna Haga, and Betty Myers; twenty grandchildren, several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Powell; second husband, Lyman Wade; children, Wayne and Norman Powell, Carol Jones, and Patricia Wade; numerous brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 3rd from 6 to 8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Anchor Baptist Church where the family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Pastor Mark Jacobs will officiate. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Helena's name may be made to the Anchor Baptist Church Building Fund.
