Helen Ann Nobis, 65, passed away on November 23rd in Parma, OH, after suffering from respiratory complications due to COVID-19. Helen was sweet, intelligent, sensitive, and funny. Everywhere she went, she met you with a smile and a warm greeting. She will be best remembered as a loving mother and sister.
Helen was born on September 12th, 1957 in Conneaut, OH. Her family moved around growing up, living as far away as Germany, Texas, and Stow, OH, and eventually settling down in Massillon, OH. She graduated from Washington High School in 1974, after which she would work at the Massillon Inn, which was owned by her father. Helen loved reading, gardening, and chocolate.
Helen was preceded in death by her mother Gisela, father William, step mother Dagmar, and her infant sister.
She is survived by her ex-husband Ralph Nobis III, daughter and son Alexa & Max Nobis, sister Cathy (Frank) Sweterlitsch IV, her brother Nicholas Telew MD, and nieces and nephews Bekah, Frankie, Kristen, and Julia.
Friends and loved ones may attend calling hours on December 19th from 5PM-7PM at Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
The family would appreciate contributions in lieu of flowers to Becky’s House through Road to Hope, a women’s sober living facility, in Elyria, Ohio.
