Helen M. Rollins, 81 of Perry Township, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. Helen was born on September 22, 1936 in Canton the daughter of George and Emma (Snyder) Barr. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1954 graduate of Canton South High School. She received her Associates Degree in teaching from Kent State. Helen taught at East Canton Elementary. She was actively involved as a Cub Scout leader and received the Silver Beaver award. Helen was also a volunteer for the Red Cross. She enjoyed sewing. Helen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and had been involved with WELCA. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her husband, Larry L. Rollins, whom she shared 61 years of marriage; children, Dennis (Cheryl) Rollins, David (Kristine) Rollins, Keith (Chong) Rollins, Jennifer (Roger Shaub) Malzer, and Matthew (Julie) Rollins; grandchildren, Daniel, Nathan, Joseph, Hadley, Spenser, Rebecca and Katherine; and her brother, Elmer Barr. A Celebration of Helen’s life will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Massillon. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church.
