Helen M. Poulain, 89 of Canton, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016. She was born July 18, 1926 in Martins Ferry to the late Frank and Magdalena( Fleahman) Truax. Helen was Rosie the Riveter in West Virginia during World War II. She retired from the Timken Company after many years of service and loved to play Bingo. Helen was an unselfish person and was always very kind and giving to everyone. Helen is survived by her children, Bruce (Denise Jacobs) Poulain and Carol Serban; grandsons, John Serban, Dan Poulain, David Jacobs and Stephen Russinoff; six great-granddaughters, Tessa, Serenity, Galina, Savannah, Adrionna, and Nadia. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert; son, Ralph "Butch", sisters, Mary Jane and Nancy; and brothers, Frank and Harry. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Paquelet Funeral Home, Massillon from 12:00PM – 1:00PM with a funeral service held at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home in Helen's memory.
