Helen M. Englehardt

Helen M. Englehardt, age 78, of Massillon passed away Saturday morning. She was born in Massillon to the late Harry and Martha (Mesenbrink) Owens on December 19, 1928. Helen graduated from WHS in 1947 and then went on to work at the Massillon Rubber Co. Helen married the love of her life, Don Englehardt on July 9, 1948. The word that epitomized Helen was Mother. The refrigerator was always open as Helen always made you feel welcome. She loved to bake and was known for having the best sugar cookies. She also loved reading and the challenge of crossword puzzles. Helen is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David; two brothers, Harry and Clarence; five sisters, Betty, Ruth, Edna, Aleda and Marlys. She is survived by daughter, Sandy and Rich Mazon of Massillon; son, Donnie and Nicole Englehardt of Virginia; grandchildren, Jason, Jesica Englehardt of Tennessee, Scott and Jen Mazon of Massillon, Kristiane and Jason Castile of Massillon, John David Englehardt of Columbus; great grandchild Her ray of sunshine Aiden Castile of Massillon; sister, Donna Somogy of Massillon; special niece and nephew, Carol Hopper and Sonny Hopper of Massillon. The service will take place on Wednesday at Grace United Church of Christ Main Ave. West at 11 a.m. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Paquelet Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the church.
