Helen M. Cox, age 91 of Massillon, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on June 2, 1920 in Newport, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Charles M. & Ruby (Tschudy) Figley. In addition to being a homemaker, Helen worked at MCA Signs starting in 1970 and retiring in 1982. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Helen was an avid Massillon Tiger fan and even attended all of the home games at age 91. Along with her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John Cox, her brothers, John and Charles Figley and her sisters, Lois Elder and Martha Shilling. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Barry and Saundra Cox and Debby and Jim Barnes, her grandchildren, Terry (Karen) Cox, Denise (Charles) Condo, Amanda (Travis) Brewster and Trevor (Leah) Barnes and her great grandchildren, Alexia Cox , Derek Condo, Daniel Condo, Triston Barnes, Seth Barnes and Zach Brewster. Also surviving is her brother Harold Figley. A service to celebrate the life of Helen Cox will take place on Friday at 1:30 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with a dear relative, Rev. Harry "Bud" Milligan officiating. Burial will follow at Newman's Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday one hour before the service. The family suggests memorials in the name of Helen M.
