Helen L. Murray

Helen L. Murray, age 84 of Massillon, passed away on January 28, 2013 at Akron General Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1929 in Morgantown, WV and was the daughter of the late Jesse Earl and Lillian (Davis) Trader. Helen had been employed at Nationwide Insurance where she worked in the mailroom. She was a longtime member of the Massillon Baptist Temple and participated with the Sonshine Group ministry with the church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Murray, her son David Lee Murray, her brothers Bill, Bob and Jim Trader and her sister Flossie Blaney. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Danny Ray (Esther) Murray, Donald E. "Joe" Murray, Martha D. Murray, Dennis P. (Helen) Murray, her daughter-in-law, Karen Murray, 12 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Massillon Baptist Temple with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. and at the church one hour before the service.
