Helen Jogerst

Helen Jogerst, age 89 of Massillon, passed away at home following a short illness. She was born in Navarre on August 22, 1921 to the late Frank and Gertrude Yerman. She was a cook for the Massillon Public Schools. Helen was a graduate of Navarre High School and was a memeber of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Massillon. She is survived by: her loving husband, Clarence M “Barney” Jogerst, her high school sweet heart whom she married on August 31, 1946, two son’s; Greg T. Jogerst of North Canton and Tim J. Jogerst of Massillon, grandson, Eric J. Jogerst of Columbus and a half- sister Mary Margaret Murphy of Zanesville. She was preceded I death by her half-brother, Vincent Yerman. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Massillon on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 11:00AM, Fr. Thomas Cebula celebrant, where friends may call one hour prior to the Mass. Inurnment will be in Brookfield, Cemetery, Massillon.
