Helen J. Colaner

Helen J. Colaner, 84 of Navarre, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016. She was born in Wilmot, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Russell and Erma (Reed) Harrold. She graduated from the former Beach City High School in 1949. She married Richard G. Colaner on August 12, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2015. Together they owned and operated the local hardware store until 1978. Helen was a member of Holy Family Parish in Navarre and the D.A.R. of Massillon. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Harold and two infant brothers. She is survived by her children, Donna Willis and her husband Donald, Gregory Colaner and his wife Tammy, Debra Borell and her husband Mark and DeeDee Brumme and her husband Raymond, 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her sister Norma Bender. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish with Fr. Robert Kaylor officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Catholic High School., 4824 West Tuscarawas St., Canton, OH 44708
