Helen E. Gorkos

Helen E. Gorkos, age 85, of Massillon passed away Tuesday evening at the Affinity Medical Center Doctor's Campus. She was born in Massillon on March 16, 1921 to the late James & Mary Dekan. Helen enjoyed being a homemaker and watching her two boys grow. Helen was a loving mother & grandmother. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Christian Mothers Altar Rosary Society, Sons of Herman & the Women of the Moose. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Gorkos & two brothers, Joe & Jim Dekan. Survived by her 2 sons, Carl & Carolyn Gorkos of Massillon, Joseph & Susan Gorkos of Oklahoma; 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. on Friday evening at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
