Helen Del Rio

Helen Del Rio age 98 passed away Tuesday October 19, 2010 at Meadow Winds. Helen was born September 5, 1912 to the late John & Louise (Stenger) Langenfeld and was a life resident of Massillon. She was a volunteer at Massillon Community Hospital and a member of St. Barbara’s Catholic Church. The three loves of her life were her family, playing cards and gardening. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Joseph Del Rio (1979), daughter in law, Ruth Ann Del Rio (2007), three sisters, Emma, Martha & Florence and three brothers, Nickolas, George & Jerome Langenfeld. Helen is survived by her two sons & daughter in law: John & Nancy Del Rio and David Del Rio all of Massillon. And five grandchildren: Kevin Del Rio, Karen Johnson, Jackie Huff, Joleen Del Rio-Tharp and Michelle Del Rio-Keller all of Massillon, ten great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Friday at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, her pastor Fr. Thomas Cebula will officiate. Burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery.
