Helen B. (Huwig) Chisler

Helen B. (Huwig) Chisler, age 85 of Navarre, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009 at Altercare of Navarre. She was born on December 15, 1924 in Massillon the daughter of the late John and Mary Huwig. She was a 1942 graduate of Washington High School. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Heidi Kulisek, her brothers, Frankie, Freddie, Johnnie and Paul Huwig and her sisters, Anna Mae and Kate. Helen will be greatly missed by her devoted husband of 35 years, Paul Chisler; her son, Rudy Kulisek of Canton; her step-son, Mike Chisler of Tampa, FL; her daughters and their spouses, Barbara (Kulisek) & Mike Trace of Hartville, Karen (Kulisek) & Jack Crilley of Clarkton, N.C., Diane (Kulisek) & Willie Gates of Canton; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; her sisters, Mary Perrin of Canal Fulton and Louise Meyers of Canton and numerous nieces and nephews. “Forget unkind words I have spoken; Remember some good I have done. Forget that I ever had heartache and remember I’ve had loads of fun. Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way. Remember I have fought some hard battles and won, ere the close of day.” The family would like to extend their thanks to Aultman Hospice and to one of the most compassionate and caring physicians, Dr. Louie Shaeen who helped Helen live her final days with comfort and dignity. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Friends may call the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8PM.
