Harry W. Schoenfeld, age 78 of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning. He was born on December 9, 1928 in Massillon to the late Harry A. and Anna Marie Schoenfeld. Harry was a lifetime resident of the area. He retired from Everhart Glass, formerly Sharff Glass in 1984 where he had worked for 30 years. Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and former member of the Massillon Eagles #190 and Massillon Moose #481. Harry enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his canine companion Buster. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Ringley) Schoenfeld in 2001; sisters, Marie Specogna and Anna Radabaugh; brother, Charles “Chick” Schoenfeld He is survived by his children and their spouses, Lynn & Ted Smith of Canton and Mike & Jenny Schoenfeld of Pickerington, OH; grandchildren, James and Robert Schoenfeld of Pickerington and Dan & Sharon Smith of Canton; great grandchildren, Jason and Ashley Smith of Canton; brothers, Edward “Pill” & Billie Schoenfeld of TN, Paul & Evie Schoenfeld of Massillon, Roy & Gail Schoenfeld of Massillon and Clifford & Stacy Schoenfeld of Warren, OH; sister, Gretchen & Jerry Heffner of Massillon and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 P.M. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. John Gruneich of Faith Lutheran Church will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Domestic Violence Shelter or Faith Lutheran Church.
