Harry Staley

Harry Staley, Jr., age 83 of Canton, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Sterling House. He was born on April 25, 1930 in Massillon and was the son of the late Harry, Sr. and Lydia Hill Farrar Staley. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Eleventh Street Church of God, the Masonic Lodge, Canton, Ohio and the Valley of Canton, Scottish Rite. Harry retired from the former Ohio Power Company (AEP) where he worked in fleet maintenance. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Ryan Staley and his brother William Staley He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Albrecht) Staley, who he married on June 7, 1951, his sons, Daniel E. (Barb) Staley, Timothy D. (Cindy) Staley and Randolph R. (Velda) Staley, 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 5 great granddaughters, 1 great grandson and his brother James R. (Helen) Staley. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Shafer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12-1 P.M.
