Harriet A. Louis

Harriet A. Louis, 83, passed away, following a brief illness. She was born in Massillon on March 23, 1938 to David and Marcela (Slack) Shaidnagle. A 1956 graduate of Jackson High School, Harriet was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Massillon. She was very active in her church, teaching CCD, RCIA and many other groups in the church. She was an avid fan of Massillon Tiger Football and the Cleveland Indians and was active in community theatre for many years. Surviving are her children, Tamara (Chuck Morris) Hepler and Teresa (Michael) Joseph; grandchildren, Jeffery D. (Nicole) Clark, Elizabeth (Erwin) Johnson; great – grandchildren, Courtnie, Madailein, Caitlyn and Caleb; her brothers and sisters, James (Ann) Shaidnagle, Donald (Barbara) Shaidnagle, William (Mel) Shaidnagle, Ella Shaidnagle , Paul (Sherry Lowe) Shaidnagle, Margaret (Ricky) Irby, Michael Shaidnagle; and a sister-in law, Barbara Shaidnagle. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanette Louis, and sisters and brothers, Rita Shaidnagle, Ruth Shaidnagle, David Shaidnagle and Joseph Shaidnagle. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 7, 2021 from 6pm-8pm at the Paquelet Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 10:30 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Current Covid-19 guidelines are in effect.
