Harold (Ted) T. Homman, age 87, of Massillon passed away Monday morning. He was born in Zanesville on May 1, 1918 to the late Ira & Maude Homman. Ted graduated from Zanesville High School in 1937. After school Ted married Elvira (Nell) (Kieffer) Homman with whom he shared 50 yrs. of marriage. He was then drafted into the Army where he served in the infantry. Upon returning from the war he began working for Pioneer Provision & later retired from Superior Brand Meats where he worked as a traffic control supervisor. After his retirement he & his wife traveled. He was a past president of the Teamsters Local 92, he was a life time member of the VFW. He attended the Wesley United Methodist Church. Ted was a loving father, grandfather & husband. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, an infant son Richard, 2 brothers Albert & Kenny, and one sister Helen. Survived by; Wife Dorothy (Bachtel) Homman of 14 yrs. of the home 3 daughters Carol & Lowell Thomas of Colorado Bonnie & Gene Burdette of Massillon Peggy & Ken Smythe of North Carolina 1 sister Winnie & Doug Stewart of Massillon 3 Grandchildren Steve & Scott Gunn, Stephanie Chaney 4 Great Grandchildren 12 Step Grandchildren 14 Step Great Grandchildren The funeral service will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Ken kubichek will officiate.
