Harold Harper

Harold "Harry" Harper, 86 of Massillon, passed away on December 25, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 11, 1928 in Weirton, WV and was the son of the late Benjamin and Jean (Pulliam) Harper. He was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Orney Mae Harper and Pearl Harper, his sister Elizabeth Harper, his brothers, Benjamin "Babe" Harper and Leroy Harper. He is survived by his five children, Larry (Marla) Harper, Sherry (Robert) Wilson, Rosalind Nesbitt, Jay (Cathy) Harper and Bonnie Harper. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his sisters, Ruby Arrington, Beverly Harper and his brother Howard Harper. Funeral services will take place on Friday, January 2, 2015 at 1 PM at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church with Rev. Rosalyne Martin-Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery.
