Harold E. Anthony

Harold E. Anthony, age 87 of Massillon, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at Chapel Hill Community. Harold was born on June 26, 1923 in Pickerington, Ohio the son of the late Harry and Flossie (Mason) Anthony. Harold was originally from Columbus, retired in Florida and moved back to Ohio in 2004. Harold was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon and volunteered many hours at Amherst Meadows. Harold enjoyed golfing and traveling in his Airstream trailer. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty (Winters) Anthony; his children and their spouses Linda (Keith) Richeson of Jackson Township and Michael (Janet) Anthony of Reynoldsburg, OH; his grandchildren, Laura (Elliott) Kuhn of Canton, Brian (Jennifer) Richeson, of Plain Township, Jamie Anthony (Jamie Druso) of Pickerington, OH and Sarah Anthony (Derek Shrack) of Leesburg, IN. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday (TODAY) January 2, 2011 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Massillon. Reverend William Harvey will be officiating.
