Harold D. Robinson, Jr.

Harold D. Robinson, Jr., age 86, of N. Lawrence, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 19, 2014 at his residence. Harold was born on December 1, 1927 in Parkersburg, WV the son of Harold and Edith (Dotson) Robinson. Harold lived here most of his life. He worked at as a roll grinder Tyson Roller Bearing Co. until retiring in 1984 and then worked at Massillon Community Hospital in the laundry department. Harold was a member of the Sons of Herman and a longtime trustee at North Lawrence Faith U.M.C. He was a Scout Master for many years. He also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Cox. He is survived by his loving wife, Effie Marie (Waggoner) Robinson whom he shared 68 years of marriage; his children and their spouses, Harold James (Helen) Robinson, Joyce (Chuck) George, Donald L. (Rhonda) Robinson, Edith Grosjean, Mary (Victor) Simon, and Frederick G. (Judy) Robinson; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. A Celebration of Harold's Life will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at N. Lawrence Faith U.M.C. with Pastors' Harry and Mary Lou Merryman Officiating.
