Harold A. Smith

Harold A. Smith, age 77 of Massillon, passed away Thursday January 26, 2012 at Affinity Medical Center. Harold was born February 14, 1934 in Massillon to the late Leon & Thelma (Haer) Smith and was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School. He served in the US Army and received an Honorable Discharge. He was a long term employee of Tyson Bearing and AR Machine. Harold loved working on projects in his workshop. He gave of himself to others wanting nothing in return. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley (1991) and a sister, Judy Johr. Harold is survived by two sons and daughters-in-laws; Richard & Davene Smith and Steven & Wanda Smith; brothers & sisters; Howard Smith, Jim Smith, Ed Smith, Bob Smith, Carolyn Albrecht, Linda Reamer, Elaine Ohm and Shirley Griffith; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. His funeral service will be 10:30 AM Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
