Hannelore G Jedel

February 4, 1935 — February 20, 2023

Hannelore G. Jedel, age 88, passed away on February 20, 2023 after a brief illness with pancreatic cancer. She was born February 4, 1935 in Germany. She immigrated to the United States in 1965 with her two young sons. She became a proud American citizen but held onto her German heritage. She retired from The Timken Company, but also worked  at times for Timken Mercy Medical Center.

After retirement, she and her husband, Ulrich Jedel, spent several winters in Florida as snowbirds, before moving there permanently.

She came back to Ohio in October 2020.

She moved to the Canton Regency in January 2022.

Hannelore is survived by her sons, Peter (Cathy) Truemper and Rolf (Chris) Truemper, Stepchildren William "Buddy" (Missy) Householder, Rick (Monica Tomlinson) Jedel, David (Helen) Jedel, and Rosemary (Greg) Jedel Graff.

She was Oma to her grandchildren - Mandy (Jaime) Felder, Erin Truemper, Ben Jedel, Molly Jedel, Larin Graff, and Tristan Graff.

She also leaves behind numerous dear friends at the Canton Regency and in Venice, Florida.

Hannelore was predeceased by her husband Ulrich "Rick" Jedel, her parents, two brothers, and many friends.

She was active in the German-American Club on Georgetown Road and helped many years with the Oktoberfest. She volunteered several years on the Security committee for the Canton Chamber of Commerce during the Pro Football Hall of Fame events.

Mutter had a love of family and a love of life. She enjoyed socializing with others and often attended dances, concerts, and gatherings.

Mutter loved shopping, fashion, clothes, and Chico's! She loved diamonds, Waterford Crystal, any dessert, ice cream, Caribbean cruises, Florida (Floreeda), polka music, knitting and quilting.

The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice for their excellent care, especially, Laura, Jen, Nicole and Gayle.

All family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life for Hannelore on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church,
